Community-funded, not restaurant-funded
Planets stays free because people who value receipt-verified prices help pay for the map. Restaurants cannot buy placement, ads, or ranking boosts.

Usage, costs, and allocation notes.
Support payments are not tax-deductible charitable donations. If surplus funds are allocated to food-access or local community nonprofits, Planets will publish the amount, recipient, and date.

Most useful
Monthly
Steady monthly support for keeping Planets ad-free and receipt-backed.
Monthly
Stronger monthly support for new cities, better verification, and public reporting.
The first job is keeping Planets useful: real-price lookups, receipt OCR, fraud review, hosting, and city data. After those costs are covered, a visible share of surplus support can be allocated to public-interest food access or local community nonprofits.
This is a support payment to Stardusting, Inc., not a charitable donation. Public allocation reporting is a transparency commitment, not a tax receipt.
Receipt Trust Hub
Receipt-based reviews need a stronger boundary than normal reviews. Planets should keep raw receipts private, publish only verified price facts, and maintain an auditable trail from Stripe support to infrastructure and moderation costs.
Original receipt images stay private and are used for verification, fraud review, and audit recovery only.
Payment card details and cardholder names should be masked or discarded before review data is published.
The public map shows restaurant, item, date range, final price, and verification status, not sensitive receipt images.
Stripe events should reconcile into a separate ledger so funding reports do not mix with private receipt data.
Gross support by one-time and monthly payments after Stripe reconciliation.
OCR, hosting, moderation, maps, and city expansion costs paid by the support pool.
Recipient, amount, date, and reason whenever surplus is allocated outside Planets.
